Closed cell rubber – all-round versatility

Closed cell rubber is an extremely versatile closed cell material. Its properties for sealing, absorption, insulation etc. make it indispensable in many production processes and products. Due to its material structure, closed cell rubber does not absorb moisture. Inclusion of certain additives such as fillers, plasticisers, anti-degradants, and cross-linking chemicals enables us to change the properties of our products and therefore optimise them for specific areas of application.

What are the properties of closed cell rubber?

  • Porous rubber quality
  • Closed cell
  • Air and watertight
  • No external skin required when used for sealing applications
  • Low thermal conductivity value
  • High compressibility
  • Good insulating properties
  • Temperature and ageing resistant (EPDM = synthetic rubber)
  • Highly flame-retardant and oil-resistant (CR/NBR = synthetic rubber)
  • High elasticity (natural rubber)
  • Cost-effective sealing material
